Raiding with Anaemia

Things you need to know for raiding and some things you need to do to be ready.

Raids will be organised by the officers who are all apointed raid leaders. Raids will be available to sign up for here on the forums, RLs will pick squads from those who sign up.

Raids run from 8:00-8:30pm to 11:00-0:00pm GMT (9:00-9:30pm to 0:00-1:00am server time) depending on the day, with invites starting around 15 minutes beforehand. All times listed on the website are based in GMT so please remember that when signing up for raids!

Anaemia Raid Rules

• 1. Be on time. If you sign up for a run, please be ready at the invite time, with full durability and all the pots and reagents you think you'll need. Make sure you are not in a group.
• 2. Have the right mods installed. DBM & Omen are the two key mods you need for raiding atm, not having them hurts everyone's performance. There is no excuse for not having them installed.
• 3. Get Ventrillo. This is the voice comms program we use and is a requirement of being seleted for raiding. Details for our server are in Guild Info, and as always, ask for help if you need it.
• 4. Read up on bosses. A little research goes a long way, if we're heading to a raid you should know at least your part in the next 3 or 4 bosses coming. Discussion before the boss should be a recap, NOT you learning the strat.
• 5. The Raid Leader. Is in charge, they will direct strategies and pulls, show them respect and make sure you listen when they speak.
• 6. Breaks. Try to space your breaks along with everyone else, and get a drink before the raid starts! If you have to go afk make sure the RL is aware that you're going.
• 7. Attitude. Try to remain positive during the raids, wipes happen (and will frequently on bosses as we learn) but whining helps no-one and brings down the whole group.

A few more things regarding raids:-

If it's shortly after the start time for a raid and we're not inside, please don't instantly drop 'ZOMG! what? no raid?' or similar into guild chat. We may still be sorting the squad for the run if extra people have signed up, or people may simply be late. First take a look at the guild screen only one healer online? That'll be the reason. Messages like that simply frustrate the people who are trying their hardest to get the run together.

While we encourage people to be online and ready, please don't sit outside the instance BEFORE you've had your raid invite. It brings disappointment to you and guilt to the RL (they feel it, really!) if you're not picked for the initial lineup. We're likely to always have extras signed up for the runs, especially as sometimes we'll need to swap out classes for certain bosses, so we try our best to make sure everyone gets their turn.

Progress. We want to keep moving forward and downing new bosses, and it's only fair that we allow our more experienced players the opportunity to have a go at the new bosses. This will affect the raid makeup through the week, and possibly between bosses, however we do try to include as many new/less experienced players in the early runs to give everyone a taste of raiding.
